Character Name: Mewtwo
Canon: Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened
Canon Point: In the middle of the fight between her and Genesect
History: Here

Personality: Mewtwo possesses a serious attitude, speaking in an authoritative way. The way she talks to others is very direct, to the point where people could mistake her for bossing them around when she's legitimately trying to help. For example, when she finds the newly revived Pokemon, Genesect, wandering in the mountains, she demands instead of asks that they come with her. The leader of the Genesect tells her to not give them orders, and retaliates by attacking her. Mewtwo does take matters into her own hands, determined to help the Genesect her way instead of slowing down to find a better solution. Despite her serious personality, she isn't completely incapable of having fun. She's seen racing with other bird Pokemon, and seems interested in testing the limits of her Mega Y form, which she transforms into and attempts to push past the boundaries of Earth's atmosphere.

Although Mewtwo wants to learn about her own power, the source of her power is tied to her strong dislike of humans. She was created by scientists and subjected to horrific and painful experiments to test the limits of her abilities. When she finally escaped the lab, Mewtwo realized she had no "home" to go to, and no place where she belonged. The only world she knew was the lab where she was tortured. She's painfully aware that she doesn't belong in this world. After escaping, she saw everyone, especially humans, as a threat. Considering how scientists hired a Pokemon hunter to recapture her, she's not exactly wrong in that assumption.

Despite Mewtwo's cold and distrusting attitude towards humans, she doesn't actually hate them or wish any harm on them. She saves Anna, her grandfather, and their Stoutland from falling to their deaths during a hiking trip in the mountains. When the Genesect's leader battles her and launches an attack into an apartment building full of people and Pokemon, she gets angry and tells the Genesect to stop. And despite saying that she only wanted to help the Pokemon, she still saves Ash and his friends from a Genesect attack when she could've only saved their Pokemon.

Mewtwo does feel guilt, as well as a reluctance to get close to both humans and Pokemon, due to the trouble that follows her. She knows her place as a powerful weapon created by humans, and how those humans will go to any lengths to find her. When a battle with a Pokemon hunter causes a forest fire that ends up trapping a Pokemon rescue team that tried to help her, she blames herself because they tried to save her. She ends up putting out the fire using telekinesis to move water from a nearby lake. The rescue team tries to thank her, but she coldly tells them to forget they saw her, in an attempt to distance herself from humans and Pokemon alike.

Of course this plan to distance herself from others fails when she tries to take shelter in a cave from a storm. Mewtwo collapses from the injuries she sustained from her previous battle with the Pokemon hunter. A group of Pokemon care for her through the night, that being the first time she's experienced any kind of genuine compassion from someone else. From that point, she starts to form a bond with the Pokemon that saved her, and live among them peacefully. She has a strong desire to protect any Pokemon she sees from harm, such as when she hears the Genesect in trouble and rushes to their aid. Similarly, she steps in and forms a protective barrier around the Pokemon from Pokemon Hills when the Genesect attack them and try taking over their home.

All the trauma and sense of not belonging is why she ends up heavily sympathizing with the Genesect, after learning that they were searching for their home after being resurrected from fossils and physically altered in a lab. While they refuse to listen to her, Mewtwo is determined to find a place for the Genesect to belong, knowing full well how painful it is to live in an unfamiliar world. Their aggressive, hateful attitude, and their desperate searching for a home are all things she sees in herself when she first escaped the scientists who created her. She wants the same thing for them that she finally managed to find for herself. It ends up being Ash's dedication to stopping the Genesect army and herself from fighting, as well as wanting to find the Genesect a new home, that finally gets Mewtwo to open herself up to a friendship with other humans. As well as the Genesect.

Powers/abilities:

-Flight/Levitation: Mewtwo gets around by flying or levitating above the ground using her psychic abilities.

-Telepathy: Telepathy is Mewtwo's usual way of communication. While she can't read minds, she can project her voice into other people's heads.

-Telekinesis: Mewtwo is able to use the move Psychic to lift anything from people to Pokemon, and she also used it to create a giant water tornado to put out a forest fire.

-Ability to survive in low atmosphere, freezing cold temperatures for short periods of time. She can only do this in her Mega Y form.

-Can shapeshift into her Mega Y form, which gives her teleportation-like speed. Time almost seems to slow down when she moves in this form, making it easier for her to see and avoid incoming attacks.

-Like most Pokemon, Mewtwo comes with a set number of moves:
1) Psystrike: A move in which Mewtwo surrounds herself with psychic energy, that can explode on contact.
2) Psychic: Mewtwo's telekinesis move. She can use this on herself to fly and levitate, or use this
move to pick up something or someone.
3) Aura Sphere: Mewtwo can summon a ball of blue energy to throw at her opponents.
4) Protect: Mewtwo can form a psychic shield around herself or a large group to protect them from
attacks.

Questions: may be written icly as the character or oocly as the player; please limit to maximum 5 sentences each
✽ What does your character consider to be their top three strengths? Literal strength and her power, her confidence, and being able to push herself to the limit. She only thinks of strength in terms of actual strength.
✽ What do others consider to be your character's greatest weakness? Lack of trust, quick to anger, refusal to listen to anyone but herself.
✽ What are your character's three greatest fears? Experimentation, humans, being made into a weapon.
✽ What would your character choose for a last meal? She'd refuse a last meal, not willing free food offered to her to harm her in some way (maybe it's poisoned?).
✽ Has your character ever killed? If so, how did that affect them? If not, how would it affect them? She exploded the lab that she was held captive in. If scientists did die in the explosion of that, it didn't affect her at all nor would she care that much if they did.
✽ If your character was given one selfish wish (eg. must be applied to themselves and not affect others), what would it be? To live a life of freedom, free of being chased down and hunted and experimented on.

Game Summary: Hadriel is a survival/horror game that takes place in the underground city of Hadriel (which has changed locations since then). The city is ruled over by gods of emotion, and whatever emotions characters have give power to the specific god tied to that emotion. The gods often manipulate characters' emotions, making them feel or behave a certain way.

How long was your character in Game: Four months.
History of Character in their Game: Mewtwo woke up in Hadriel's Colosseum, forced to fight off monster crabs the moment of her arrival. Fighting off enemies was nothing new to Mewtwo, but the change of location was very confusing for a Pokemon who had just escaped both a laboratory and Pokemon Hunter. She tended to isolate herself for the most part, preferring places like caves or the wilderness to spend her time in. But occasionally, curiosity got the better of her and she'd visit the city every once in a while.

The first event she experienced was where characters are made to believe that they've been returned home. Of course, in Mewtwo's case, that means being trapped in the lab again. Characters such as Bruce Banner attempted to free her. She then got to experience the "Underground" when she met Alphys from Undertale. It was then Mewtwo learned that creatures who look like Pokemon existed, but are not actually Pokemon.

From then on, she mostly took on the role of protecting newcomers entering the Colosseum for the first time. Anyone who looked like they needed help, she would offer it to anyone who seemed like they couldn't fight on their own. During one of these trips to the Colosseum, the "monsters" people had to fight were a Pokemon named Kabutops. Being fellow Pokemon, she tried to get them to listen and follow her without much success. Afterwards, she made a network post asking where the surviving Pokemon had gone. When she wasn't dropping by Hadriel to protect newcomers, she mostly spent her time searching for the remaining Pokemon.

How did they change from their canon personality wise (Please explain what caused it to happen?) While Mewtwo's attitude towards humans is mostly prickly, her interaction with them in Hadriel has soften her attitude towards them a little. She never formed a close relationship with any humans, but any human she interacted treated her kindly. Caedra, for example, tried to teach Mewtwo about music, and tried to teach her how to dance. Until Hadriel, her previous experience with humans had always been painful - either they wanted to experiment on her, or capture her.

Also while in Hadriel, she learned of non-humans that weren't Pokemon - such as Conner the Android, and Alphys, a lizard-like scientist who Mewtwo confused with a Pokemon. She mostly had a soft spot for Conner, especially after revealing that he was also created by humans.

Towards the end of her stay in Hadriel, she was a little more willing to assist others in trying to help the city grow. Her number one priority was always non-humans though.

Caedra: Mewtwo first met Caedra in her memory of home. Caedra was another scientist, who was a little nervous around Mewtwo at first. While Mewtwo herself was a little tense around Caedra, Caedra consistently approached her in a very friendly and approachable way. Mewtwo's experience with humans up to that point was that they were only there to hurt her, and couldn't be trusted. But Caedra never attempted to hurt her, and began introducing Mewtwo to things like dancing and music. After a while, Mewtwo found it difficult to keep her guard up and push Caedra away.

Conner: Conner was the first person Mewtwo had met that she really related to, as he was an android built by humans. Mewtwo had run into Conner attempting a bedazzle project, and was curious about what he was doing. This led to them asking questions about each other, and finding out they were both human-made creations. Mewtwo felt sympathy for Conner, but mostly felt angry that humans had decided to create and toy with another life.

Alphys: Much like how Bruce ended up in Mewtwo's memory of home, Mewtwo ended up in Alphys too. And likewise, she was also a scientist, though Mewtwo didn't know that yet. Mewtwo mistook her for a Pokemon, which Alphys corrected her on, and didn't understand why Mewtwo didn't recognize Alphys' home. To Alphys, Mewtwo was another monster from the Underground. To Mewtwo, Alphys was just another Pokemon. After the confusion, Mewtwo was more aware that non-humans that weren't Pokemon existed. The revelation sparked Mewtwo's interested, because in the Pokemon world, there's only humans and Pokemon. To have something exist outside those two boxes was totally unheard of for Mewtwo.

Bruce Banner: Bruce Banner is someone that Mewtwo met when she was sent "home". In her memory of home, Bruce Banner was another scientist. But unlike other scientists she had memories of, he was trying to free her from sealed tank in the lab. She's still mostly guarded against anyone who calls themselves a "scientist", but Bruce was the first who showed any consideration for her well-being, and thought that using her for experiments was wrong.

Frisk: Frisk is a small child that Mewtwo only met briefly in the Colosseum. Frisk was crying, and it forced Mewtwo into awkwardly trying to console them. Something that she hadn't tried doing before. Her attempt at empathy was a result of her interactions with previous CR (mostly Caedra and Conner), as she would normally only be focused on saving Frisk from immediate danger and that's it.

How did they change from their canon physically (Please explain what caused it to happen?): No physical changes.
Powers:

-Flight
-Telepathy
-Telekinesis (including lifting large objects and even bodies of water)
-Ability to survive in low atmosphere, freezing cold temperatures for short periods of time
-Can shapeshift to her Mega Y form, which gives her teleportation-like speed
-Has psychic-type energy that she can launch at her enemies
-Can use psychic energy as a protective shield for herself or others

Please provide three samples from your previous game, at least one will have to be third person with context:
Sample One: Mewtwo wakes up in Hadriel
Sample Two: Mewtwo meets a scientist lizard.
Sample Three: Mewtwo asks the network what happened to the Pokemon who showed up in Hadriel.

Notes: Most important thing to note that this Mewtwo is not the same Mewtwo from the first Pokemon movie. Because of her voice, I also use she/her pronouns for this version of Mewtwo.

Flaws:

-Mewtwo destroyed the lab she was created in, possibly injuring or killing some of the scientists inside.

-Has trust issues towards humans and even sometimes Pokemon, but mostly humans.

-She has an overly serious personality.

-Mewtwo can be a bit careless and reckless herself. As much as she tries her best to do what she thinks is right, she sometimes doesn't realize the damage she's causing around her.

-She tends not to back down when she makes a decision to do something, and has little interest in searching for a better solution.

SAMPLES
Action Log Sample:

Everyone here. Anyone could be my enemy.

Those thoughts drift through Mewtwo's mind as she looks out at the lake, observing her new surroundings. She has no choice but to think that way. It's essential to her survival at this point. The moment she lets her guard down, she could get taken back to that awful place. Her real "home".

Either that, or it'll just end with someone trying to help her and getting hurt instead. That always happens too, doesn't it? Her memories of how she got here are fuzzy at best. She remembers a warm light surrounding her, and Pokemon - the ones she found huddled in a cave, staring up at her like the intruder she was - trying to treat her injuries. She wonders if they made it through that storm...

The next thing she remembered was being ripped from that comforting light, waking up in a large, stone structure and forced to battle her way out. That was nothing new, she thinks bitterly. Fighting has been part of her life as far back as she can remember. It's the only thing she's ever been good for, the only reason that humans ever wanted her to exist for in the first place.

It's still odd, that she hasn't seen a single Pokemon since her arrival. Even the creatures she had to fight when she first woke up, they didn't feel like Pokemon. She did her best to help those around her. Even the humans who seemed just as lost and dazed as her. So dazed that, strangely enough, none of them were using their Pokemon to defend themselves.

But she supposes that doesn't matter. She can't stay here. Peaceful as this place seemed, there was always some kind of danger following her. The moment she hears any sound behind her, she telekinetically lifts herself and drifts over the lake, searching for the source of the sound. She uses her telepathy to speak to the offender who's caught her off guard.

Whoever you are, come out now!
